Very good veggie burgers. The atmosphere is a bit rustic but food is tasty.

It was good fast burger fries type of food, my shake was delicious. They have small outdoor seating in a mostly screened in area. The flies think its amazing!

Classic. They have a big hotdog and hamburger menu. Ask if you want fresh tomato. Kudos too for hosting Monday homeless hamburger days.

Saw this place while passing through Placerville and had to check out their famous "Chili fries" It was good. Customer service was great too! A small in the hole type of place that's worth a stop for good old fashioned chili cheese burgers and fries.

Went for a bite the other day for a tasty burger. They were donating money from their drinks to our fallen officer. A young homeless person came in and they made sure that she was fed. This is the kind of people we need alot more of in our community! While the fires are raging, electricity is out, along with the winds, Thank You Shoestrings! Also thank motel 6, hangtown, and mother lode motel for UPPING their prices to the poor people who lost homes and electricity during this crisis. Bottom feeders at their best!

Best local burger in my opinion. Only took ten mintues to make. I always get bacon swiss burger. I definitely recommend going there if your trying to get something that it well worth money spent plus i am always so full afterwards. If you don't know where they are right across the street from Domino's pizza.

We wanted burgers, and Google showed us this place as an option. So glad, because this place was FANTASTIC! The foods was great, the employees were absolutely the greatest. We will definitely stop here again!

Best chili cheese dogs and fries in the foothills. Reasonably priced and very large portions.

As my son works at Shoestring, I may very well be biased..but it truly is the epitome of a mom-n-pops cafe. Nestled amongst it's bigger neighbours like Savemart & Gold Country Inn, Shoestring is a quaint, smaller, more personal restaraunt that always has good food and kind service.

Double caliente cheeseburger and fries was amazing.

One of the best "hole in the wall" establishments ive been to! Great "American" food! Burgers, Hotdogs, Chicken, Sandwiches, Salads, etc. They've got it all. To top it off some of the best milkshakes anywhere for after your food, or if your like me, anytime!

Toasty warm covered outdoor seating perfect even on a rainey day. Delicious chili and burgers are on point! Double Pastrami Burger is the best.

Small town hot dog and burger joint with hospitality and good food

If you're in the mood for a gut bomb, the double chili cheese burger is delicious! My husband and daughter were also pleased with their burgers - the jalapeno cheeseburger and regular cheeseburger respectively. The portion of fries that came as part of the meal option was satisfying enough for all 3 of us to share. And the milkshakes were good. I hope I remember this place on future trips through/to Placerville.

Great burger place, skip the chains and go here. You will not be disappointed.
